Back to School Supply Giveaway

The Olney Community Collaborative is proud to announce its annual Back-to-School Supply Giveaway, taking place on Thursday, August 21st, 2025, from 12 PM to 3 PM at the Lowell Elementary parking lot (5th Street & Grange Avenue). This beloved community event is about more than just school supplies; it’s a chance for families, friends, and neighbors to come together, connect, and support our young learners as they prepare for the new school year. Each year, this event has grown thanks to the incredible generosity and spirit of our community. In 2022, we provided 300 book bags filled with essential school supplies to local students. In 2023, that number rose to 400 book bags, and in 2024, we were thrilled to distribute 550 book bags each one packed with the tools students need for a successful start to school. This year, we’re aiming to reach even more families and make an even greater impact!

But the fun doesn’t stop at school supplies. The event will feature a variety of activities and entertainment for kids and families to enjoy. From games and music to a bounce house, face painting, and refreshments, there’s something for everyone. It’s an afternoon filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. Best of all, everything is completely free – no registration required. We invite everyone in the community to join us, whether you’re picking up supplies, lending a hand, or just coming out to enjoy the festivities.
